I’ve been using the Canon M50 since launch and love it. It’s a fantastic little camera that offers a lot of features, great image quality, and all in a very small form factor. But as with all mirrorless cameras, there are limitations when it comes to lenses. Thankfully, there are some great options available and I’ve put together a list of my favorites below, which you can use with this fantastic little camera.

Sigma’s new 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens is designed for full-frame cameras, but can also be used on APS-C bodies where it will provide a massive 900mm equivalent focal length. It was announced in September 2014 and will cost around $1000 when it goes on sale in the middle of November.
The new lens features improved optical construction (including FLD glass elements) over its predecessor and is also lighter, smaller and better sealed against dust and moisture. It has a minimum focusing distance of 280cm (110in), accepts 95mm filters, includes a tripod collar, and offers both optical image stabilization and Sigma’s hypersonic motor for fast autofocus.
The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary is a relatively lightweight super-telephoto zoom lens with a range that goes from the long end of a standard zoom to 600mm, enough reach to capture wildlife or sports action from some distance away. It’s designed for full-frame DSLRs but can also be used on APS-C bodies such as Canon’s 7D Mark II, where it provides an effective focal length of 240-960mm.
