If you are looking for the best gimbal for dji phantom 2, then you have come to a right place. Here you will find out about the features of different gimbals so that you can pick the best one for your drone.
In the past few years, there has been a new trend in action cameras: gimbals. Nowadays it is no longer enough to have good quality video and photos. You need to be able to get that footage from a device that is stable, and no other way around.
Trying to fly your DJI Phantom with just a remote control would definitely lead you to shaky results. That is why having a stable gimbal for your camera is one of the first things that you should invest in when you are in the market for an action camera.

Best Gimbal For DJI Phantom 2
A gimbal is a pivoted support that allows the rotation of an object about a single axis. A set of three gimbals, one mounted on the other with orthogonal pivot axes, may be used to allow an object mounted on the innermost gimbal to remain independent of the rotation of its support (e.g. vertical in the first animation). For example, on a ship, the gyroscopes, shipboard compasses, stoves, and even drink holders typically use gimbals to keep them upright with respect to the horizon despite the ship’s pitching and rolling.
Gimbals are used in photography and cinematography to prevent shaky footage when using cameras on moving vehicles or handheld. They allow photographers to have steady shots without using a tripod or monopod.
A brine compass is sometimes mounted in gimbals to protect it from rolling on rough seas.
A large surveyor’s transit is sometimes mounted on a triple gimbal so that it will remain level when inserted into a drilled hole where there is no horizontal surface for it to rest on.
Gimbal mounting was used for mounting compasses in ships and aircraft until electronic gyroscopic compasses became available.
The Zenmuse H3-3D 3-Axis Gimbal from DJI is a precision device that offers advanced stability and control. It is compatible with the Zenmuse X5, X5R, and X5C cameras and can be used on the Inspire 1, Matrice 100, and Matrice 600 platforms. The gimbal comes with an additional battery plate that allows you to use it with the Phantom 4 Pro, the Phantom 4 Advanced, and the Matrice 600 Pro.
The Zenmuse H3-3D 3-Axis Gimbal has three different modes that allow you to set its flight parameters. The first mode is for standard flying, which is suitable for most conditions. The second mode works when there are winds greater than 8 knots. This reduces the precision of the gimbal and makes it easier to handle in these conditions. The third mode is for complex terrain and is not recommended for new users.
The gimbal has all of the features you would expect from a DJI product. It has a dual IMU stabilization system that offers up to 3 degrees of roll and pitch angle accuracy, as well as 0.03 degrees of yaw angle accuracy.

The number of parts in the DJI Mavic Pro is comparatively small. The first thing to remember when disassembling a drone is to be gentle and patient. It can be tempting to use force, but if you do, you could very easily damage the delicate components inside.
Start by removing the four screws holding the landing legs in place. Then, remove the two screws on each side of the gimbal cover and place them in a safe place so that they don’t get lost. Next, you need to unplug the connector on the right landing leg before removing it. When you’re done there, remove all four of the screws holding down the gimbal cover and set them aside.
You now have access to the circuit board, camera, sensor and gimbal itself, which can all be removed from their housing by unscrewing them from their posts. If, however, you’re just replacing one of these parts rather than repairing everything at once, it’s best not to remove everything at once unless you know where everything goes. Take care when removing and replacing screws as well; make sure that they don’t slip out of your hands and fall into your drone’s inner workings, or a crevice where you won’t be able to find .
The Phantom 3 Advanced is the 4th generation Phantom and a great improvement over the previous versions. It comes with a number of great improvements to it’s design and app integration. The Phantom 3 Advanced has been slightly streamlined from the Phantom 2 and Phantom 2 Vision+, which gives it a more sleek and durable look. You can fly this drone in high winds (up to 20mph) and it has a GPS assisted flight system, so you can fly it indoors or out.
The Phantom 3 Advanced also features an upgraded camera, capable of recording at 2.7K resolution in cinematic DNG format. This camera can also be controlled remotely through your phone or tablet using the DJI GO app, which allows you to see exactly what your camera sees in real time while flying. This is an incredible feature that makes the drone look like a UFO at times, but helps you get some amazing video footage.
The Phantom 3 Advanced also includes other intelligent flight modes that are unique to this model:
TapFly Mode- A new feature added to this model, tap on your screen where you want to fly and the drone will go there for you.
Point of Interest- Fly around an object or point of interest by simply tapping on your screen. The drone will then rotate 360 degrees .
This is a great drone and very easy to fly. It comes with a remote controller, one 3.7V battery, a charger and 2 different sets of propellers, some tools, and a 16 GB micro SD card. The camera takes decent pictures, but does have the occasional blur here or there. It gets about 13 minutes of flight time on one charge and is capable of flying in winds up to about 15 mph. There are two different modes that you can use when flying. One is called “sport mode” which gives you more power and speed, but isn’t as stable as the other setting. I would suggest using the more stable setting to get better video quality, but if you’re looking for fun then sport mode is probably more your speed. The drone has an auto-hover feature that will keep it in place without you having to hold down the control stick. If you are using the camera on your phone or tablet, you will need to download the DJI Go app (which is free) so that the camera can connect to your device via Wi-Fi. You will also need to update the firmware on your drone through this app.
This is one of the most advanced drones on the market. A lot of people, who don’t have a lot of experience in flying drones, are probably going to want to start out with something much simpler.
Here’s what makes this drone so great:
The First Person View (FPV) camera is extremely high quality and allows for smooth video transmission. The drone comes with a 2.4 GHz Transmitter that has a maximum range of 700 meters, which means you can fly it really far away from you. This drone is also equipped with GLONASS and GPS, which makes it easier to keep track of the drone when you’re flying it because it won’t get lost as easily.
The Altitude Hold function allows the drone to stay at a certain height without any input from the pilot. This is great if you’re using the drone for aerial photography and you want to take pictures or video without worrying about adjusting the controls all the time.
The Return Home function allows you to program your current position as a home point. If you lose connection between the controller and the drone, or if there’s a low battery, it will automatically fly back to its home position.
There are three different speed settings that you can choose from when flying this drone.

DJI Mavic Pro comes with a controller as well, but the Spark is meant for standalone flight. If you want to use it as a selfie drone, you’ll need to buy the $200 gimbal mount, which also adds a physical control stick for more precise navigation.
A couple of small LEDs on the front of the drone give you an idea of its orientation, and on the bottom is a button you can press to trigger the return-to-home mode. Pressing this button while airborne triggers Spark’s “motor stop” feature, which power-dives the drone straight down until it hits around 5 mph or so. From there, Spark uses its sensors to determine if it’s safe to land before coming in for a smooth touchdown (or crash). DJI’s software will warn you if the landing is unsafe based on your altitude and distance from the ground, but if you have any doubts just let go of the button and Spark will hover in place until you’re ready to try again.
Electronic image stabilization makes sure that videos are smooth and shake-free when shooting at 1080p at 60 frames per second or 720p at 120 fps (or at lower resolutions/frame rates). When shooting at night or indoors, Spark can fire .
The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 takes everything we loved about the Phantom 4, and makes it better. This drone has a 1-inch 20MP sensor capable of shooting 4K video at 60 fps, and it can grab 12 megapixel stills. It features a mechanical shutter designed to eliminate rolling shutter and a large f/2.8 aperture. DJI has also upgraded the camera with an all-new lens design featuring eight elements, including one aspherical element for improved image quality and reduced distortion.
If you love aerial photography, then the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is perfect for you. It’s equipped with a 3-axis gimbal to keep your photos and videos smooth and clear regardless of how jittery your flying skills are. The included controller has been redesigned to make it more ergonomic and comfortable to hold, as well as adding a built-in screen that makes it easier to see what you’re doing without having to look down at your mobile device or tablet.
Beyond the camera improvements, other features of this quadcopter include four directions of obstacle avoidance, 28 minutes maximum flight time, intelligent battery management, auto take off and landing, altitude hold mode, auto hover function, OcuSync transmission technology (which means .
Get ready to fly with the Mavic Mini, a small and compact drone that keeps you connected with everything you love. It features folding arms, 4K camera, 11-mile transmission range and more.
Built-in high-precision 3D sensing system means Mavic Mini can hover precisely in places without GPS assistance. This gives you freedom to shoot in more locations without worrying about your drone losing connection or falling from the sky.
The DJI Pilot app is simple and intuitive to use, so you can spend more time enjoying the view from above. It connects via Wi-Fi and DJI Lightbridge for an excellent 720p HD live view of exactly what your camera sees.*
4K Video Recording: Capture stunning aerial footage in 4K at 30 fps, with a 100 Mbps bitrate. Mavic Mini compresses video using H.264 and H.265, so files are small enough to share easily on social media while still looking great on any screen.
Zoom in on the action with the 24 mm lens’ wide angle perspective. The 1/2.5″ CMOS sensor captures 12 MP photos, letting you crop and zoom later without losing quality.

The Mavic Air is compact and powerful, making it your perfect travel companion. Intelligent Flight Modes Make Every Shot Possible.
The Mavic Air camera has an integrated 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor that shoots 20 MP photos and has a 4K video resolution of up to 4096 x 2160p at 30 fps. The 24 mm equivalent focal length gives you a wider field of view. New features enable you to shoot from various perspectives.
New ShallowFocus mode allows the background of a shot to be out of focus while the main subject remains in focus. The Dolly Zoom effect lets you change focal lengths from wide to narrow with just the push of a button, making it look like you’re zooming in or out.
With Tripod Mode, your Mavic Air can automatically detect on-board cameras and will ask if you’d like to connect them in Tripod Mode to take photos with both camera angles simultaneously. You can also use advanced algorithms to track moving subjects while they’re still and moving when they move, giving your videos more dynamic action shots.
The Mavic Air uses four vision sensors located at the front, back and bottom to detect obstacles up to 49 feet (15 m) away, so you can fly with confidence .
